about

‘This music is like a labor agreed upon, embraced, a march, a quest rather, towards the promise of wonder and beauty, freedom at work. A trio that’s infinitely alive.’ Xavier Prévost

'Each tempo seems to contain a thousand breeding one another, the rush is calm, the quiet bewildered, stones are liquid and water drops hard as cristal. The wind is full of sun, and one hovers, floats and drowns with the same voluptuous élan'. Franck Bergerot

Three creative streams meet in Triple Fever. Benoît Delbecq, an established explorer on the scene, composer and inventor of his own sound, drawing from Pygmee chants, Ellington and calligraphy. Guilhem Flouzat, a drummer songwriter grounding his groove and sense of exploration in old standards. Etienne Renard, the youngest, is pretty much everywhere on the Paris scene today, and writes music with quicksilver shifts reflecting his own acute musical awareness.

This trio without leader started with informal sessions. They found themsleves stuck together on the same quest for the invisible, the unspoken, mysterious structures that gradually reveal themselves to the listener. This is their debut EP.
____
